Our Process
A clear, structured remodeling process designed specifically for Washington homeowners — keeping your project organized, code-compliant, and stress-free from the first consultation to the final walkthrough
Step 1: ON-SITE CONSULTATION & ESTIMATE
Every project begins with an in-person consultation to understand your space, goals, and priorities. During this visit, we evaluate how you use the space today, what you want to improve, and any concerns you may have. We also assess site conditions, access, moisture exposure, ventilation, and visible structural factors that commonly affect homes in Washington.
After the consultation, you receive a clear, realistic estimate along with an outline of the next steps — with no pressure and no obligation.
What you receive after this step:
• A written estimate based on site conditions and your goals
• Initial scope of work
• Clear understanding of how your project can move forward
Step 2: Design Guidance & Planning
This phase defines how your project will be built and how all selections come together before construction begins.
While we do not provide interior design services, we guide you through all material selections, layout decisions, and construction details required to move the project forward. If you are working with a designer or architect, we coordinate closely to ensure plans are practical, buildable, and aligned with your budget.
If you do not have a designer, we help you make confident decisions by explaining options, recommending materials that perform well in Washington homes, and ensuring everything is planned clearly before work starts.
Thorough planning at this stage prevents delays, inspection issues, change orders, and surprises during construction.
What is clarified and prepared during this step:
• Layout and space planning required for construction
• Material and finish selections
• Scope of work and construction details
• Coordination with designer or architect (if applicable)
Design decisions are finalized before construction begins
Step 3: Permits & Permit Development
Permits, inspections, and code compliance are a critical part of remodeling in Washington.
When a permit is required, we handle the entire process — including preparation of permit documentation, coordination with your local jurisdiction, and scheduling inspections. Every project is planned in accordance with current Washington building codes from the beginning to prevent delays, corrections, and inspection issues later.
As a separate service, we also provide permit development for homeowners who need help preparing drawings and submitting permit applications, even if construction is not yet scheduled.
This step may include:
• Preparation of permit drawings and documentation
• Permit application submission and coordination
• Communication with the local jurisdiction
• Inspection scheduling and compliance
All work proceeds according to approved plans, code requirements, and inspection standards
Step 4: Construction
During construction, we manage scheduling, trades, deliveries, and on-site oversight from start to finish.
The job site is kept organized and safe. We monitor progress daily to ensure work aligns with approved plans, quality standards, and inspection requirements.
We work carefully to minimize disruption to your home while keeping you informed with regular updates. You have a single point of contact throughout the entire build.
What you can expect during construction:
• Organized, professionally managed job site
• Coordinated scheduling of all trades and inspections
• Ongoing progress oversight
• Regular communication and updates
One point of contact throughout the construction phase
Step 5: FINAL WALKTHROUGH
At project completion, we walk through the finished space with you to review every detail together.
During this walkthrough, we compare the completed work to the approved plans, material selections, and scope of work to ensure everything has been completed as intended. We check finishes, fixtures, installations, and overall workmanship to confirm the project meets both our standards and your expectations.
Any final adjustments or touch-ups are noted and addressed before the project is considered complete.
We also review completed inspections (when required) and provide you with any relevant documentation related to the work performed.
The project is not complete until final details are reviewed together.
